Broadmead Community Church
Kids Church Northampton – Our vision for our children’s ministry is to nurture, raise and equip children from our communities to know Jesus and change the world as He did. We believe all children are precious to God. They are precious to us too! Our heart is for children to be connected to the Love of God. Nurturing God-connected children can happen ‘as you go’ in the messiness and ordinariness of everyday life. Our vision is to support the awesome job you as parents are already doing as you journey with your children. We love to learn with them too! As we adventure together, our heart is to nurture, raise and equip children from our communities to know Jesus and change the world as He did.
Our Dedicated Teams
Through dedicated and enthusiastic teams, we provide groups at various times throughout the week. The safety of children is of paramount importance to us. All our teams hold current enhanced DBS certificates, undertake regular safeguarding training, and have signed up to our safeguarding policies. When you join any of our activities you will be asked to share some details about your child for our safeguarding procedures.
It can take a church community to raise a child. We want you to know, that you are not alone in your parenting and would love to be able to support you ‘as you go’. We are here for you. If you are new and would like us to connect with you, then please fill in your details on our contact page.
The Adventure Starts Here…Kids @ Broadmead
Each Sunday we provide groups for all-ages. Parents/Carers can use the Check In station on arrival, then after a time of worship in the Auditorium, drop children off in G1 at approximately 11:00 am. A reminder will be put on the Auditorium screen for parents/carers to collect children from their groups at around 12 noon. During the morning, children will be in groups for games, craft and of course, opportunities to encounter Jesus. We usually join together for a time of worship at the end of the session.
On the first Sunday
Of each month, we hold our all-age service. On the fourth Sunday of each month, we have a family session where parents/carers can join in. Getting to know what the children do as well as have the opportunity to connect with other families. Family sessions have become a very special time to engage in what we do. A parent recently said they came away with ideas to engage children with faith at home. We’d love for you to join us and get to know you better.
Our JAM group
(Jesus and Me) is for children aged 0-4 who have not yet started school. Please remember to check your child in at the check in point and then take them to their group in Samuel’s Nursery rooms when it is announced. You are welcome to stay with your children or leave them in the care of our team. They are also welcome to stay in the main gathering if that works better for you. There is an activity station at the back of the main gathering for this purpose. Please could you leave this area as you find it. Our Explorers group is for children in school years Reception to Year 2. They meet in G1. Our Trailblazers group is for children in school years 3 to 6. They meet in G2.
Kids Church Northampton – Whether you are part of our church or just visiting and have a child with additional needs, we’d love to understand how we can support your child. Please complete one of these page profiles with your child and drop it back to us to help us know how we can best get to know you.
