Every word spoken during the Night Prayer service is intended to bring a profound sense of peace and restoration. We humbly ask the Lord almighty to grant us a quiet night while we seek a truly perfect end. Our help is found solely in the name of the Lord who created the vast heaven and the earth. Consequently, we gather together to confess our many sins before the company of heaven and also one another today.

Seeking Divine Forgiveness

We admit that we have sinned in thought, word, and deed through what we have simply failed to do. Therefore, we pray that God might forgive our sins and heal us by the power of his Holy Spirit. May we be raised to new life in Christ as we seek the speed of God to save us. We call upon the Lord to make haste to help us while we offer glory to the Holy Trinity. As it was in the beginning, it is now and shall be for evermore in this sacred, eternal space.

Protection Through the Night

Before the ending of the day, we pray that the Creator of the world keeps watch with steadfast love. We ask that evil dreams be defended from our sight so that we remain safe from all nightly terrors. Our deadly foe is trodden underfoot by divine grace so that no sinful thought may ever know our minds.
