Northampton Bach Choir – Experience a magnificent evening as the Northampton Bach Choir celebrates ninety years with Handel’s timeless masterpiece, the Messiah. This historic event takes place at St Matthew’s Church on March twenty-eighth, two thousand twenty-six, starting at seven. Doors will open at six-thirty, allowing guests to find their seats before the music begins in this stunning.
The choir marks nine decades of choral excellence
With a performance filled with immense splendor, drama, and joyful. Conductor Simon Toyne leads the ensemble alongside the Eboracum Baroque, providing a vibrant and historically informed musical experience. You will hear Handel’s evocative storytelling through the expressive voices of our three truly outstanding and talented soloists. Sopranos Rebecca Bottone and Milli Royle join baritone William Swinnerton to bring deep emotional resonance to every note. Audience members can look forward to hearing beloved movements like the spirited Rejoice Greatly and the poignant He Was.
