Bible College – Christian ministry is an enormous blessing, bringing with it great joy, but also significant challenges. God does not call those who are already fully-prepared for these, but as we surrender our time, energy, and resources, God is able to make us ready for Kingdom service and leadership. We remain committed to the principle that the best ministry formation takes place within genuine community. We will walk together, supporting and encouraging one another. You will therefore be part of the formation of other students, and will make lifelong friendships. It takes a village to raise a child, and we believe that it takes a College community to raise a minister.
Formational Framework
The framework for our Ministerial Formation Programme is based on the Marks of Ministry as agreed by Baptists Together. These marks include being a mature disciple of Christ, accountable, Kingdom focused, servant-hearted, and sacrificial in your daily life. Furthermore, a relational approach to leadership is essential for anyone who wishes to guide a congregation with grace. By the time you leave College, your peers should recognise in you the development of these core marks. The competencies for effective Christian ministry can certainly be cultivated through engagement with Bible study and with College resources. Consequently, you will possess the necessary competencies to be commended for the lifelong work of Christian ministry. While the programme has been shaped by our Baptist covenant, it is also designed to equip other church networks.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate a clear call to ministry, along with a motivation and preparedness to study at length. You must also provide three distinct references, including one academic reference, one church reference, and one character reference. Additionally, all candidates are required to submit a completely satisfactory and clear Disclosure and Barring Service report. The admissions team reviews these documents carefully to ensure that every student is ready for intensive spiritual training. In fact, Bible College entry often has similarly robust processes to help select students truly suited for ministry. This comprehensive process ensures that our incoming cohort shares a deep commitment to theological excellence and mutual support. Ultimately, these standards help preserve the integrity, safety, and spiritual depth of our entire learning community.
Baptist Accreditation
All students who are looking to be accredited as Baptist Ministers will go through approval by the national committee. The Ministerial Recognition Committee administers the formal Register of those whom the Baptist Union accredits for pastoral work. For ministerial accreditation by the Baptist Union of Great Britain, students must have successfully completed a Diploma in Theology. If you do not already hold this qualification, you are able to study this course alongside your formation. For those who have already completed a Diploma in Theology, a thorough review of your transcript is required. This review determines whether further modules of study are necessary to satisfy the educational standards of the Union.   Bible School UK https://stretch-wide.com  Bible School Northampton https://stretch-wide.com Bible College https://stretch-wide.com Coffee Morning – https://stretch-wide.com
