Choral Evensong Northampton – The combined choirs currently consist of 45 youngsters from 25 different schools. All of whom receive a first-class musical education completely free of charge. Admittance to the choir is open to Chilren in years 3 and above.
Membership of the choir is free of charge (we pay all our youngsters!) and is open to any talented youngsters. Irrespective religious, financial, or family background. The audition process in non-intimidating and designed to help your child perform at their best. We don’t expect a finished product; we look for potential. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in Choral Evensong music in Northampton.

Choristers at All Saint

• Learn a vast range of music under the direction of professional musicians

Records dating back to 1388 show that there were four daily services at All Hallows’ Church in Northampton. Of which two were sung by a choir of children and Men. All Saints’ Church, building that now stands on the site of All Hallows and is proud to continue that tradition. Choral Evensong at Northampton has deep historical roots.

Three separate choruses – Choral Evensong

Made up of three separate choruses junior choristers, senior choristers, and adult/teenage choral scholars the choirs. In varying combinations, sing at least three fully choral services each week in Northampton, including Choral Evensong. The Juniors sing Choral Evensong on Mondays, and the older people do likewise on Thursdays. Together with the Choral Scholars, either the Juniors or older people sing for Choral Eucharist at 10:30 each Sunday. Performing a different choral mass setting and anthem every week. As the choir of Northampton’s Civic Church, they also play a central role in many of the town’s important occasions. Including Remembrance Sunday, the High Sherriff’s service, and Mayor’s Charity Service each year.

The choir also maintains a busy profile abroad. In 2019 the choir went on tour to Poitiers, France, to mark the 40th anniversary of their town twinning. 2017 saw the choir on tour in Malta for 5 days, continuing their fame beyond just Northampton’s Choral Evensong.
