Biblical Courses – Through the Old Testament Northampton

Ministerial Training Northampton – A review of the great themes of the Old Testament, including the life of Israel, the kings, the prophets, and the development of the kingdom of God in the Old Testament. This course includes a study of humanity’s origin and the Jewish nation’s origin and decline. Consideration is also given to the poetry, wisdom literature, and prophecy of the Old Testament. After completing this course, you will be able to: Discuss creationism as described in the Old Testament and compare it to other theories of creation.

Identify and discuss the various major themes of the Old Testament.

Including the following:
(a) Life of Israel; (b) Kings; (c) Prophets; and (d) Development of the kingdom of God. Describe the following aspects of the Jewish nation: (a) Origin; (b) Periods of Judges and Kings; (c) Decline; (d) Exile of the Jewish people; (e) Restoration of the Jewish nation; and (f) Spiritual implications and relevance to Christianity today.n Identify and discuss the various genres of literature contained in the Old Testament, including the following: (a)Poetry; (b) Drama; (c) Wisdom Literature, and (d) Prophecy.

Bishop Michael Bradley has served in ordained ministry with the Church of God since 2012, beginning in Jamaica where he earned a theology degree with honours from Bethel Bible College. He pastored multiple congregations, served as facilitator for Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean and in national youth and education ministries. Now based in the UK, he currently oversees the Dudley district. He is pursuing a master’s in theology and transformational leadership at Nazarene Theological College. Bishop Bradley is a passionate worshipper, preacher, and teacher of the word. He is committed to discipleship through the Word and Spirit. He is married with two children.
