Prayer Northampton. We have 24 churches on this platform doing the same service, see inside for the one which will suit you best blessings- We run weeklong prayer times at various times throughout the year. These will be promoted throughout the church Prayer is central to everything else that we do at Broadmead.  The very heartbeat of our community. Our vision is to be a house of prayer for all nations. We recognise there is an urgency to prioritise prayer. In the midst of the unfolding of world events, it is vital that we lean into God’s love. Look at our lives and the world from God’s perspective, and call on God to do the things that only God can do. Prayer may very well be our greatest means of effectiveness.

Prayer is our first response, not our last resort.

The phrase house of prayer is from Isaiah 56:7, where it is used twice: “These [foreigners] I will bring to My holy mountain and give them joy in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Jesus refers to this verse when casting the money changers from the temple, as recorded in Mark 11:17: “Then He taught, saying to them, ‘Is it not written, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations”? But you have made it a den of thieves.’”

The heart of the house of prayer
